Raksha looked absolutely radiant in this half-saree for her family function. I focused on creating a flawless, glowing skin base with a glossy lip to balance her statement emerald jewellery.
About Timeless Traditional Looks
Traditional events often involve heavy temple jewelry and intricate saree draping, which is why my focus is on a 'glass skin' prep that stays put for hours. I don't just apply makeup; I ensure the base is resilient enough to withstand 4K video lights while keeping your skin looking fresh, dewy, and naturally beautiful throughout the long rituals.
When you are wearing a classic Kanjivaram or a heavy silk saree, your makeup needs to hold its own against all that vibrant color and gold. I specialize in a soft, glowing finish that balances heavy jewelry rather than competing with it.
My Approach to Traditional Styling
- Glass Skin Prep: I use hydrating sheets and under-eye patches to ensure your skin is plump and ready. This creates that healthy, radiant base that photographs beautifully without looking heavy or caked on.
- Jewelry Management: I understand the logistics of temple jewelry, waist belts (vaddanams), and maang tikkas. I factor this into the makeup application, ensuring the contouring works with your head accessories and the final look feels cohesive.
- Hairstyling for Tradition: Whether it's a classic braid with fresh jasmine (mullapoo) or a structured bun, I coordinate with the flower setting and hair extensions to ensure the style is secure and comfortable for the entire event.
- Long-Lasting Performance: Traditional ceremonies can be long. I use premium international brands like MAC and Huda Beauty to ensure your look stays smudge-proof and fresh from the start of the muhurtham to the end of the post-wedding festivities.
I believe the most beautiful bride is one who feels like herself. By choosing soft glam tones, I ensure your features are highlighted rather than masked, letting your joy shine through in every photo.
