Cinematic Brand Films for Mumbai Restaurants
We do not make ads. We produce documentary-style films that help founders and chefs share the true story behind their food.
A brand film for Chef Amninder Sandhu's Kikli that explores her vision of bringing authentic Punjab to the table. We focused on her personal story and the unique cooking methods that define the restaurant, creating a narrative that feels more like a documentary than an ad.
This film tells the story of a traditional Maharashtrian 'pangat' meal for Nav Chaitanya. By using Marathi narration and focusing on the chef's personal connection to the Ganpati festival, we created a piece of content that celebrates regional heritage and culinary tradition.
A short, humorous guide to speakeasies that we shot for Ocho Bandra. This founder-led video establishes a cool, confident vibe for the bar while offering genuine tips, showcasing how we can use personality to build a brand's identity.
We sat down with the mixologist at Inka Experience to discuss their unique cocktails. This interview-style video highlights the expert's knowledge and passion, giving customers an inside look at the thought process behind drinks like the Tamagotchi and Sensu.
A conversation with the expert at Inka Experience about the nuances of Pisco Sour. This type of content positions the brand as an authority, educating the audience while showcasing the premium quality of their offerings.
In this clip for Inka Experience, the focus is on the Negroni. By letting the mixologist share his expertise on grapefruit notes and pisco, we build credibility and give viewers a reason to trust the quality of the bar's craft.
About this collection
A great film is not about the camera gear. It is about whether your production team can sit down with a founder and pull out the story that actually matters to a customer. We spend the day capturing real conversations, not scripted lines, because that is the only way to make a film that feels like a piece of your restaurant’s soul.
Most restaurant content on social media feels like a loop of fast cuts and generic music. That is why we moved toward cinematic, long-form storytelling. When we film for a brand, whether it is a traditional Maharashtrian pangat or a modern speakeasy, we are looking for the conflict, the passion, and the 'why'.
Our Process
We do not shoot in a few hours and leave. Our films are 60-120 second narratives that require a full day of production.
- The Interview: We sit down with the founder or chef to uncover the philosophy of their kitchen. This is not scripted. We let the subject speak until the real emotion surfaces.
- The Setup: We use multi-cam setups with 3-point lighting to ensure we get a professional, documentary aesthetic. We capture B-roll of the kitchen in action, the steam, the fire, and the small details that guests usually miss.
- The Edit: We handle noise reduction, audio mixing, and film-emulation color grading. The final output is designed to be timeless, not just for a 24-hour story.
Why This Matters for Your Brand
Customers today are tired of being sold to. They want to connect. When we helped capture the story behind Chef Amninder Sandhu’s Kikli, it was not about listing dishes. It was about the traditional 'kadhai' and the feeling of home. This kind of content builds trust. It tells the viewer that there is a real person behind the brand, and it is the kind of work that creates a lasting legacy for your business.
Lost & Hungry Studios
I started this with a camera and a lot of stubbornness, and I still believe that skill comes from the reps, not luck. My team and I do not just point a lens at food. We sit with you to figure out what you are actually building so the final film feels honest and grounded.
