We started Light And Grips to do way more than just rent out lights. For us, it’s about bringing creative visions to life and helping the next wave of filmmakers get their break. Our pride? Training some of India’s top gaffers, including the country’s first female gaffer.

How We Teach

Everything we do is hands-on. You won’t just sit and listen - you’ll set up, troubleshoot, and actually work the gear. Our Mumbai base is where you’ll find both practical lighting workshops and direct film set lighting mentorship.

• Formal events like ‘LUMEN MASTERS’ mix masterclasses and real industry collabs. These aren’t boring lectures - we get you working with the best, including groups like the female lighting professionals collective.
• Day-to-day learning is founder-led. We’ve worked on films like ‘Salaam Bombay’, so when you train with us, you get decades of experience, no shortcuts.
