Cinematic Lighting Training: From Vintage Tech to LED Workflows
Master the full spectrum of film lighting. Our training bridges the gap between traditional voltage control and modern LED workflows, giving you the technical grit to handle any production set.
You will train on the latest industry-standard equipment, like this Creamsource Vortex 8. We teach you how to use its advanced features, from its precise optics to various diffusion add-ons for creating soft light.
This is a vintage 80-ampere variable autostat transformer. We believe understanding the mechanics of legacy equipment is crucial for a complete education in lighting and electrical work.
The control dial of a classic autostat transformer. Mastering such analog tools gives you a fundamental understanding of voltage control and smooth dimming that is invaluable on any film set.
Our inventory includes robust, professional-grade equipment ready for any production challenge. This "Masterpiece Senna" flight case is an example of the durable and high-end gear we maintain.
About Our Teaching Toolkit: From Vintage to Vortex
Most lighting courses stop at the whiteboard. Here, you will actually power up our inventory. We have you working with the exact gear—from 80-ampere vintage transformers to wireless-controlled LED engines—that you will face on an active set.
We structure our training to reflect the reality of a modern film set. Whether you are aiming for our 5-Day Professional Gaffer Certification or the 1-Day Lighting Tech Masterclass, you are getting hands-on access to equipment, not just lecture time.
Our 5-day program is designed for those who want to be fully job-ready. You will manage power distribution, from single-phase to 3-phase setups, learn the safety protocols for rigging heavy HMI fixtures, and master cable management under pressure. We keep these batches small—capped at 6-8 students—so you spend your time touching the gear, troubleshooting fuse blowouts, and building sets rather than watching from the back.
For those needing a sharper focus on modern lighting technology, our Masterclass covers the jump from legacy systems to IP65-rated fixtures. You will learn to use wireless protocols like CRMX and LumenRadio, and see how to control Creamsource Vortex8 or Arri Skypanels via apps like Blackout or Luminair. We believe that to be a true gaffer, you must understand why we use a vintage autostat just as well as you understand why we need a specific diffusion fabric.
Training takes place at our Charkop warehouse in Kandivali, Mumbai. It is a working environment, which means you are training alongside the same gear we deploy for feature films and ads. If you are serious about a career in lighting, come ready to work.
