From ultra-soft beauty lighting to complex greenscreen setups, we deliver the precision gear and technical crew needed to execute your commercial vision in the studio.

For this skincare ad film, we used a classic 1kW zip light to create a soft and flattering beauty light. This was blended with an Arri T5 tungsten fresnel pushed through a grid cloth to wrap the light around the subject.

Lightstar Airlite tubes and balloons are an excellent solution for creating soft, ambient top light in a studio. This setup for a TVC mimics the quality of bounced light, evenly illuminating the entire set for a clean, commercial look.

The Lightstar Airlite 1000 tube is a versatile tool for creating soft, ambient top light. By simply adding a diffusion skirt, we can quickly create a large, soft source that is perfect for lighting sets in a studio.

This TVC required an ultra soft lighting setup across a massive area. To meet the budget and inventory needs, we used a carefully blended assortment of Creamsource SpaceX and Vortex8 units, Arri Skypanels, and Nanlux Dyno 1200c fixtures.

For this TVC, we rigged four Litegear Litetile Plus 8 units to create an ambient top light. The modular nature of these fixtures allows us to build larger blanket lights, and we control them via DMX to precisely tune the color temperature.

An Aladdin Fabric 350 with a soft grid is used here to provide controlled lighting for a TVC shoot. The greenscreen visible outside the window indicates a visual effects shot, requiring precise separation between the foreground and background lighting.

A Creamsource SpaceX is being used here as a key light for a greenscreen shoot. The same type of fixture was also used to create the ambient skylight and evenly illuminate the chroma background, ensuring a clean key for post production.

This large diffusion fabric, known as a butterfly, is stretched out to soften the light from multiple Creamsource SpaceX units. This technique is used to create a massive, ultra soft source for ambient skylight in a studio.

The classic tungsten gemball, or lantern light, is still a valuable tool for creating soft, omnidirectional light. Here, a crew member positions one for a TVC shoot, demonstrating that we use both new and conventional tools to get the job done.

An Arri M40 HMI fixture, a powerful daylight source, is bounced off a large muslin cloth. This technique, known as a book light, creates an extremely soft and flattering quality of light, perfect for commercial and beauty work.

About Studio & Commercial Setups

For commercial studio shoots, we prioritize workflow efficiency without compromising quality. We integrate DMX-controlled LED arrays like Creamsource SpaceX or Lightstar Airlites to adjust color temperature and intensity instantly from the console. This allows your Cinematographer to tweak lighting looks between takes without needing to rebuild rigs, which keeps your schedule on track and the creative flow uninterrupted.

Technical Precision for Commercial Shoots

Commercial lighting requires a blend of speed, consistency, and absolute control. Whether you are shooting a high-end TVC, a product film, or a multi-day narrative project, our team brings the same rigour we have applied since the days of 35mm film.

Our Studio Approach:

  • Dynamic Control: We utilize wireless DMX systems (CRMX/Lumenradio) to control large-scale LED arrays. This is essential for TVCs where rapid adjustments are needed to balance light ratios on set.
  • Soft Source Mastery: From classic tungsten gemballs to modern modular LED panels (like Litegear Litetile Plus 8), we select fixtures based on the desired fall-off and quality of light, not just the brand name.
  • Greenscreen Specialization: We understand that chroma key work lives and dies by the quality of the background illumination. Our crew excels at creating perfectly even, high-CRI light spreads that make post-production separation seamless.

Why Partner with Us

We are not just a rental house that drops off equipment. We are a crew-focused operation. Our team includes Chief Gaffers, DMX operators, and experienced sparks who speak the language of cinematography. We solve the technical hurdles—power distribution, weight safety on truss grids, and weatherproofing for challenging locations—so you can focus entirely on the frame.

We believe in solving problems before they hit the floor. If you have a specific commercial brief or a tricky studio rig in mind, we are ready to build it.
