Tactical Animal Rescue Training for Professional Teams
I’m taking my climbing and high-angle rescue experience to the frontline. We work directly with the SDRF and Karnataka Fire Department to integrate tactical animal rescue into standard operating procedures, keeping both rescuers and animals safe.
This is what it's all about. I'm incredibly proud to partner with the SDRF and Karnataka Fire Department to make tactical animal rescue a core part of their official training. This video shows the start of a long-term program where we, along with the CARE Force Team, equip these dedicated professionals with the rope skills and safety protocols needed to save animals in distress. We're building a future where every rescue operation is safer and more effective for both the animals and the heroes saving them.
About Training Professional Rescue Teams
We don’t run these drills in a classroom. We train exclusively with professional squads like the SDRF and Fire Department in live-action scenarios. Whether it is rope rescue for deep wells or crowd control during a panicked animal capture, we focus on the specific protocols that minimize risk. Aaram se—going slow and getting the safety checks right—is the only way to avoid accidents when the stakes are high.
Our Specialized Approach to Tactical Rescue
This isn't a general workshop. It is a long-term, field-based program designed to make tactical animal rescue an official, repeatable part of a rescue unit's routine. We bridge the gap between high-angle climbing skills and the chaotic reality of animal welfare.
Core Training Modules
- Ground Operations: We train teams on animal psychology to read body language—distinguishing aggression from fear—before a capture attempt. We cover catch pole mastery and safe restraint methods, ensuring responders know how to use bite-resistant gear and transport crates properly.
- High-Angle & Rope Rescue: This is where my climbing background takes over. We teach Single Rope Techniques (SRT) and twin rope systems for vertical access. We drill on constructing redundant anchors on trees or structures and building mechanical advantage systems, such as 3:1 or 5:1 pulley setups, to haul loads from deep confinements.
- Confined Space Entry: We simulate real-world scenarios for tree rescues and well entries, emphasizing communication signals and suspension safety to prevent trauma during the rescue process.
Why This Works
I partner with the CARE Force Team from Charlie’s Animal Rescue Centre for every session. While I handle the technical climbing and safety infrastructure, they bring deep expertise in animal welfare. This combination ensures that the equipment we use—our harnesses, static rescue ropes, and carabiners—are used with the right sensitivity toward the animal being saved.
We don't believe in quick fixes. We believe in repetition, safety protocols, and field assessment. If you are part of an official response body looking to update your tactical capabilities, let’s talk about the specific rigging and handling protocols your team needs.
