Here, I used a low-key lighting setup to create a dramatic and moody portrait. This technique, which uses shadows to define features, adds depth and character to the image, making it a powerful addition to a creative portfolio.
This is the black and white version of the low-key portrait, offering a timeless and classic feel. Stripping away the color focuses attention on expression, texture, and the interplay of light and shadow, providing another strong option for a model's book.
About Creative & Model Portfolios
For your portfolio shoot, we use professional 3-point studio lighting and varied backdrops to create everything from clean, formal looks to dramatic, artistic portraits. You get 2 hours of studio time with up to 3 outfit changes and a selection of 8 to 10 high-end, magazine-quality retouched images.
My studio on Sarjapur Road is designed for consistent, professional results. Whether you are an aspiring actor needing varied casting photos or a model looking to update your book, I provide the lighting and environment to make that happen.
We start with a conversation about your goal—are we aiming for a corporate, clean aesthetic, or a gritty, cinematic look? We then use techniques like rim lighting to separate you from the background or high-key lighting for that bright, commercial appeal.
The 2-hour session is built to be efficient. You have space for up to 3 outfit changes, and I provide guidance on posing and expression to ensure the camera captures exactly what you need. After the shoot, you get access to the raw files for selection. Once you choose your favorites, I handle the retouching—skin smoothing, blemish removal, and color correction—so you walk away with magazine-quality final files.
This approach is about results, not drama. You get images that work for your portfolio, delivered in a high-resolution format ready for casting agents, agency submissions, or your own social media profile.
