The Art of Styling: Vignettes and Tablescapes
My crochet pieces are just the beginning... styling them into vignettes and tablescapes is where the real story starts. Here is how I mix handmade textures with the little joys of everyday life to create happy, cozy spaces.
Every meal tells a story. This video shows how I layer plates, napkins, and my handmade olive green placemats to create a tablescape where memories are made.
Vignettes are the easiest way to dress up a coffee table or any corner that needs a little brightness. Come set up this 'Rosie Posie' vignette with me.

About this collection
When styling a tablescape, I often start by layering a textured crochet placemat to anchor the space... then I add fresh flowers or candles. It is less about perfection and more about creating a little scene that makes you want to linger. If you are using my baskets as planters, just remember to tuck a small plate inside to keep the crochet clean and dry.
There is a quiet magic in the way a handmade piece changes the energy of a room. Whether it is a sunny coffee table or a festive dining setup, styling is my way of slowing down and appreciating the small details.
My approach to decor is simple... I love mixing textures. When I place a rugged jute-based basket alongside a delicate ceramic vase, or set a soft, cotton crochet coaster under a glass of tea, it brings a sense of balance. The goal is to create 'vignettes'... small, styled scenes that make a corner feel intentional and lived-in.
For coffee tables, I often recommend grouping items in odd numbers. A stack of books, a small Frida or Owlie basket to hold your essentials, and perhaps a crochet flower or two can instantly warm up a glass or wooden surface. If you are decorating for a meal, do not be afraid to mix my beaded placemats with your existing dinnerware. The contrast between the polished plates and the handmade stitches adds a layer of depth that feels personal and welcoming.
Everything I create is designed to be functional, not just decorative. My crochet wine cozies, tea cozies, and napkin ties are made to be used every day. They wash easily, they hold their shape, and they invite you to touch them. When you bring these pieces into your home, you are not just buying an object... you are adding a little bit of the slow, gentle pace that I find so comforting in my own studio.
