Tackling Tough Dog Behaviors

From leash reactivity and resource guarding to fear and anxiety, I’m here to help you get through the messy parts and build the structure your dog craves.

Does a muzzle have to be a negative thing? Absolutely not. Here's how I introduce a muzzle in a positive way, making it a safe and stress-free tool for everyone.

This is day four of loose-leash walking with Miss Sage. By changing my pace and direction, I keep her focused on me, even with all the distractions of a new environment.

Look at the difference in just 15 minutes. This is my first leash training session with Margo, showing how quickly a dog can learn to walk politely with the right guidance.

This is London, a graduate who used to have reactivity issues on the leash. Now her owners have the tools to "nip it in the butt" and enjoy peaceful walks.

Ollie came to us because he had bitten family members over possessive behavior. We established structure and taught his family how to manage him, and now he's doing great.

Louie, a pug graduate, with his housemate. He used to be aggressive and mark in the home, but with a behavior mod bootcamp, we rebuilt his relationship with his family and taught him better habits.

Pippa and Elvis came to us for a refresher after they started getting into scuffles. We identified the cause and gave their owner a management plan to prevent fights.

About this collection

Most folks think reactivity is just aggression, but usually, it is just a dog lacking a job and clear structure. In our sessions, we do not just train the dog; we spend time on owner education, teaching you how to hold the leash, how to read body language, and how to set boundaries before the situation gets out of hand. If you are tired of walking on eggshells with your pup, this is where we start.

Behavior modification is not about suppressing your dog's personality or using quick fixes. It is about understanding why your dog is reacting—whether out of fear, possessiveness, or a need for leadership—and giving them a healthier way to channel that energy.

My Approach to Tough Behaviors

  • Leash Reactivity: We stop the lunging and barking by teaching your dog to check in with you rather than focusing on triggers. It takes consistency, but it works.
  • Resource Guarding: Whether it is a toy or a spot on the couch, we work on building your dog's confidence so they don't feel the need to 'defend' their items. We show them that you are a reliable leader, not a competitor.
  • Structure at Home: Often, the behavior problems outside are a symptom of what is happening inside the house. I help you set up boundaries, implement the 'Place' command, and manage the household flow so your dog stops feeling like they have to run the show.

The Reality of Training

I am not going to sugarcoat it: this is a messy process. There will be days where it feels like you are taking two steps forward and one step back. That is normal. My 5-week intensive programs are designed for dogs that need a full reset, while my private sessions are perfect if you want to be the one handling the training. You will get homework, you will have to be consistent, and you will have to put in the work—but when it all clicks, that is where the real bond happens.
