About Relaxed & Natural Pre-Wedding Shoots
My approach to these shoots is simple: I pick a location, we bring some comfortable clothes, and then we just walk, talk, and laugh while I capture the moments in between. You will not see me directing stiff, awkward poses for hours. Instead, we might find a quiet spot by a lake or a forest trail where you can genuinely relax, and I will take care of the rest.
When we plan your pre-wedding session, the goal is for you to look back at these photos years later and remember the feeling of the day, not just how you were told to stand. I include three costume changes in my packages, which gives us plenty of room to mix it up. We can start with something casual for a walk in the woods, move to a formal look for a sunset portrait, and finish with a completely different vibe as the light changes.
Why go for a relaxed style?
Most couples find that traditional, heavily staged shoots feel tiring. By keeping the session natural, we focus on the candid interactions: the way you look at each other, the inside jokes, and the quiet moments between the shots. This style is perfect if you want a cinematic look without the feeling of being on a production set.
What we cover in the shoot:
- Duration: We spend 6 to 8 hours together, so you never feel rushed to get the 'perfect' shot.
- Cinematography: I include a 3-minute cinematic highlight reel to go with your photos, set to music that matches your energy.
- Deliverables: You receive 35 to 40 signature edited images that are color-graded and retouched, along with over 150 raw files so you have every moment we captured.
- Technique: I use full-frame cameras with prime lenses and an off-camera flash setup to make sure even the outdoor shots have that professional depth of field.
