Fun Group Dance Choreography for Sangeet
Getting the squad or family to sync up on the dance floor shouldn't feel like a chore. Whether it's a Sangeet group performance or a fun friends' dance, I make sure the rehearsals are just as exciting as the big night.
A full group learning a fun Haryanvi dance routine in my studio. Group performances are all about energy and coordination, and I make sure the practice sessions are just as fun as the final event.
The bride's crew practicing their group dance to the song 'Naina'. I love creating routines for the bride squad that are stylish, fun, and make them look like superstars on stage.
A practice session with the groom's friends. I choreograph routines for the groomsmen that are cool, energetic, and don't require any prior dance experience to look good.
About Fun with Family & Friends
Forget complex routines that take weeks to master. My approach for group dances is all about finding steps that actually match your group's energy level, so even those who think they have two left feet end up owning the stage. I prioritize simple, high-impact moves and formations that keep the flow looking seamless, even when things get a little chaotic on stage.
When I work with families or friend groups for a Sangeet, my biggest challenge isn't the dance itself—it’s getting everyone to let go of the pressure. I’ve seen many groups stress over getting every step perfect, but at the end of the day, the crowd loves energy over technical perfection.
Why my group routines actually work
- Formations over footwork: If you have 10 people on stage, I don't give everyone complex solo steps. We focus on big, clean formations that make the group look massive and synchronized without requiring everyone to be a professional dancer.
- Audio mixing that flows: For group performances, the music selection is key. I don't just pick songs; I trim those long intros and mix tracks so your performance stays high-energy from start to finish.
- The 'Non-Dancer' Guarantee: I have special drills for groups where some people have never danced before. We focus on 'masti' (fun) moves and easy-to-pick-up gestures that look great in photos and videos. Sometimes, remembering the lyrics is honestly tougher than the steps!
Our typical flow
Whether it's a Sangeet at a farmhouse in North Delhi or a banquet hall in Rohini, I usually start with 3-4 sessions for a single song. If you’re doing a full medley, we scale the rehearsal hours up to 20, ensuring we cover entries, exits, and those inevitable last-minute changes. We keep it light, we keep it fun, and we usually spend more time laughing at our bloopers than actually practicing.
