About Modern Elegance (Engagements & Receptions)
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all glam. For receptions and engagements, I focus heavily on camera-ready finishes that won't look cakey under venue lights. I dedicate extra time to skin prep—even before the foundation touches your face—to make sure the glow is real and stays perfectly set while you dance the night away.
Engagement and reception makeup requires a different mindset than traditional bridal looks. For the sagan or cocktail party, you want a style that feels lighter, more playful, yet polished enough to stand out under evening lighting.
The Skin-First Approach
My process begins long before the color goes on. Whether you are prepping for a pastel lehenga or a heavy evening gown, I treat the canvas first. I use a 30-minute skin prep protocol involving deep hydration and pore-filling, which acts as the foundation for a non-cakey finish. If you have dry skin or are prone to texture, this step is non-negotiable.
Modern Styles for Delhi Venues
Modern elegance isn't just about heavy foundation. Many of my brides prefer a 'soft glam' aesthetic—neutral, shimmery eyes with a dewy skin finish. This style works exceptionally well for day-to-day engagements in Delhi's farmhouse venues where natural light is abundant. Conversely, for a cocktail or reception, I shift toward defined contouring and cut-crease eye work to ensure your features pop in flash photography and dim ambient light.
