I do not believe in shortcuts. My coaching focuses on building your game from the ground up, starting with the right grip, solid footwork, and consistent technique.

A glimpse into our 'Shadow + Smash + Tap' drill. This sequence is excellent for improving court movement, reaction time, and the ability to switch from a powerful smash to a delicate net tap.

Here, I am hand-feeding shuttles for a one-jump smash drill. This powerful attacking shot requires perfect timing and body coordination, which we develop through repetitive, focused practice.

Back running is a critical footwork skill for junior players. I explain and demonstrate how this movement helps players get behind the shuttle quickly for powerful overhead shots, building a strong foundation for advanced play.

Repetition is the key to muscle memory. This video shows a repeated strokes practice session, which helps improve accuracy, consistency, and timing, making shots feel natural during a match.

This is our 'Shadow and Smash' drill in action. Players first practice the footwork without the shuttle (shadow) and then execute the smash, ensuring their movement and positioning are perfect before hitting.

"Fly for Glory!" This video captures the explosive power of the jump smash. We train our players to execute this advanced offensive shot to dominate rallies and keep opponents on the defensive.

A throwback to some of my students' early training days. You can hear my direct coaching style, pushing them with "चल चल चल" while encouraging them with "शाबाश". It shows how far they've come.

An older clip of a multi-shuttle drill focusing on net play and defense. These drills are designed to simulate high-pressure match situations, improving a player's agility and shot selection.

Coaching is also about sharing the 'why'. Here, I'm explaining a lesser-known detail of the court markings to my students, which are used to test the speed of the shuttlecock in official tournaments.

A detailed breakdown of the four essential badminton grips. Mastering the V grip, thumb grip, panhandle, and backhand grip is non-negotiable for any serious player, and we ensure every student gets it right.

About Mastering the Fundamentals: Drills & Techniques

Before you master the smash, you need to master your foundation. In our drills, I personally correct your stance and grip, ensuring you are not just hitting the shuttle, but hitting it with the right muscle memory. Whether it is refining your V-grip or perfecting the Chassé step, we focus on the small details that stop you from picking up bad habits early on.

Badminton is a game of speed, but without a solid foundation, speed only leads to errors. Many players jump into matches before they understand court positioning or the movement cycle, which is how injuries happen. My training sessions are built on a structured approach that prioritizes longevity and precision over raw power.

The Movement Cycle

We break every shot down into four phases: Start, Approach, Hit, and Recover. You cannot rush the recovery. If your footwork isn't bringing you back to the center of the court efficiently, you are always going to be a step behind. We drill this until it is instinctual.

Technical Drills

We use multi-shuttle feeding to build your endurance and reflex speed. When I feed fifty shuttles, I am not just testing your stamina; I am forcing your body to repeat the movement until it becomes automatic. This includes back running for baseline coverage and net play defense to simulate high-pressure match situations.

Why Practice Matters

You will see me correct ankle positions, body weight shifts, and grip types constantly. It might feel repetitive, but that is the point. When you are under pressure in a match, you will not have time to think about your mechanics. You just need to react. That is where our training takes over. If you are ready to put in the work and sweat it out, come join us at Vasant Kunj, Saket, or Lodhi Road. Let's fix your game, one drill at a time.
