Welcome to my world beyond the stage. Here, I share the messy, real, and hilarious stories of balancing ventriloquism, my puppet family, and the wild journey of new motherhood.

This is where it all began. A photo of little Indu with one of my first puppets at a 'Festival of Magic'. My love for dolls and magic started very early.

A very special announcement from me and my puppet family. We were thrilled to share the news that a new 'baby doll' was joining our family in April 2024.

The English version of our pregnancy announcement. The whole puppet family had their own theories and reactions to the 'breaking news'.

Ajji and Tata sharing their blessings and funny advice during my 'Seemanta' (baby shower). They were so excited to become great-grandparents.

Kokila Ajji giving me a classic pep talk at my baby shower, comparing my one baby to her twenty-four. Her humor always keeps me going.

Tata's hilarious question at my baby shower: "After the program is over, you won't put the baby back in the box, right?" A perfect example of a ventriloquist's life.

A maternity photoshoot with my husband. He's getting a 'Chota Data Analyst' and I'm getting a 'Chota Ventriloquist'. So excited for our precious daughter.

A ventriloquist's pregnancy fantasy. I imagined what it would be like if my baby could talk back from the womb. This is part 1 of that funny idea.

Part 2 of my pregnancy fantasy. The baby is already tech-savvy, asking for a Samsung tablet and planning to post selfies from the womb.

The English version of my pregnancy fantasy, where the baby declares itself an 'umbilical cord-ist' and plans to become a ventriloquist just like me.

About My Journey: Behind the Scenes & Personal Stories

Many people ask how my puppets manage to exist alongside my family in real life. Whether it is Kokila Ajji giving me unsolicited parenting advice or Dinku trying to supervise my day, my puppets are constant, lively companions. It is never just a solo act; these characters have helped me navigate everything from pregnancy cravings to my recent move from Bengaluru to the USA.

My journey as a ventriloquist has been anything but ordinary. It started with a love for dolls, but it grew into a full-time career that allows me to bridge the gap between English and Kannada comedy. When I am not on stage performing for corporate events or school fests, you will find me in deep conversation with my crew. Dinku, Kokila Ajji, and Tata are not just props, they are the ones who help me process life events.

The Puppets Behind the Performance

  • Kokila Ajji: The sassy grandmother who never misses a chance to correct my parenting.
  • Dinku: The witty boy who is the most tech-savvy member of our group.
  • Tata: The goofy grandfather who brings the classic charm to every show.

Moving from Namma Bengaluru to the United States has been a massive shift, but my puppet family made it easier. We treat every show as an opportunity to share a bit of our culture, whether we are performing in person or virtually. I have been blessed to share my art on platforms like 'Gichhi Gili Gili', but the most special moments remain the ones where I connect with families. If you are looking for an interactive puppet performance that keeps things clean, funny, and deeply personal, I would love to connect.
