Practical Interior Design & Smart Home Solutions
I cut through the catalogue noise to help you build a home that is functional and budget-friendly. Here is how I approach design for Indian families.
Planning a kitchen? Don't ignore these 11 essential things. I break down everything from the right layout for a 7x7 ft space to choosing durable BWP grade plywood over MR grade for cabinets. This is the practical advice that saves you from costly mistakes and ensures your kitchen is built to last.
Here are five things you must check when designing your bathroom. I cover practical tips like installing an under-mount basin for easy cleaning, adding a shower seat for elders, and placing grab bars for safety. A well-designed bathroom is about both style and everyday convenience.
Designing a bedroom? Here are three things you must replace. I explain why a foldable Murphy bed is a game-changer for guest rooms, how layered ceiling lights create a cozier vibe than tube lights, and why neutral bedsheets make your room look more elegant.
Laminate mat kharidna yeh video dekhe bina! I explain how to choose the right laminate for your furniture, covering the best types for kitchens and wardrobes, the correct thickness like 1mm for shutters, and why you should always select colors at home, not in the shop.
Should you get a digital door lock? I break down the pros and cons. While more expensive than a normal lock, the safety features like a built-in alarm and multiple unlocking options like fingerprint and app control make it a worthwhile investment for your family's security.
Building a new home? Avoid these three common mistakes. I explain why you should ditch outdated tube lights for modern ceiling lights, plan for an under-sink water purifier to save counter space, and use accent chairs instead of a single-color L-shaped sofa for a more dynamic living room.
This is a glimpse of a living room I designed for a client. Notice how we used a mix of textures, layered lighting, and a balanced color palette to create a space that is both modern and inviting. This is the result of making smart, practical design choices.
About this collection
The difference between a home that looks good and one that actually works is in the small, technical details. Most people focus on catalogue trends instead of structural reality—like correct counter heights for Indian ergonomics, material grades that handle moisture, or electrical points that future-proof your space. If you are building or renovating, stop spending money until you understand why these site-level decisions will save you from expensive repairs later.
My Design Philosophy: No Gimmicks, Just Logic
I treat every project like I am building for my own family. My goal is not to fill your house with expensive, useless decor. I want to build a space that is easy to maintain, safe, and tailored to how you live.
Why I Push for Practicality
- Material Matters: I always recommend 18mm BWP marine ply for wet areas. Commercial board is a recipe for disaster in Indian kitchens with our tadka-heavy cooking.
- Lighting over Brightness: Ditch the tube lights. They ruin the vibe. I use layered lighting—surface lights, profile lights, and lamps—to create a warm, premium feel without the need for an expensive false ceiling.
- The Skirting Tip: When plastering, always leave a 3 to 4-inch gap for skirting. It is a small site detail that allows for a flush, clean finish. If you ignore this, you get dust traps that you will have to clean every single day.
How I Help You Decide
Most design decisions are about trade-offs. Should you use Quartz or Granite for your counter? Is a Murphy bed really worth it for your guest room? Do you need a digital door lock? I help you answer these questions based on your budget and daily habits, not on what looks good in a magazine.
My work is focused on transparency. I give you the 'kyun' and 'kaise' behind every choice. Whether it is correcting a floor plan, verifying Vastu logic, or helping you pick the right laminate grade, I ensure you make informed decisions. Stop guessing and start building smart.
