Keratin vs. Botox: What's the Difference?

We get asked this all the time. Here is the simple breakdown:

• Keratin Treatment: This is your go-to if you have porous or frizzy hair and want that pin-straight, sleek finish. It uses ingredients to even out your cuticle. It is perfect if you want to save time every morning.
• Hair Botox: This is more of a deep-repair job. It is packed with amino acids and collagen. If your hair is chemically damaged or bleached, Botox fills in the gaps in your hair fiber. It straightens, but the focus is mostly on reviving hair health and stopping breakage.

Our Typical Service Routine

When you book a treatment, this is what you can expect in the chair:

1. Deep Cleanse: We use a professional clarifying shampoo to strip away city grime and product buildup so the treatment can actually penetrate.
2. Product Application: We apply the mask or treatment in precise sections, making sure every strand is covered.
3. Heat Activation: This is crucial. Depending on the service, we use a steam session or high-heat ironing to seal the product into the hair shaft.
4. Finishing: We finish with a cool water rinse and a serum application to lock in that shine.

Pro Tip: Post-treatment, always stick to sulphate-free home care. It keeps your results lasting 40 to 60 washes, and trust us, it makes a huge difference in keeping your hair from going back to 'blah' mode.
