About The Rich Henna Stain
A dark stain isn't just about the henna paste, it is about how you treat it afterwards. I include my own hand-mixed aftercare oil with every bridal session because I know how much that colour matters to you. Apply it right after the mehendi dries to keep the warmth trapped, which is the secret to that deep burgundy shade.
Getting the perfect henna stain is a process that requires patience. My organic henna paste is mixed fresh to ensure the highest dye release, but the final result depends heavily on body heat and proper aftercare.
Why the stain changes colour
Remember that henna is a natural dye. It starts as a bright orange when you wash it off and gradually darkens over 48 hours as it oxidizes with your skin. Do not worry if it looks light initially; that is just part of the magic. Keep your hands warm, avoid water for the first 8 hours, and use the aftercare oil I provide to protect the design.
My aftercare process
When I do bridal work, I want your henna to look its best for the main events.
- Keep it dry: Avoid water on the henna area for at least 8 to 12 hours after the paste is scraped off.
- Stay warm: Heat helps the stain develop, so try to keep your hands covered if the AC is running high.
- Natural oils: Use the provided aftercare oil to seal the skin. It helps the stain stay dark for longer and prevents the design from fading unevenly.
