My Henna Art & Process
I’m Saniya, and henna is more than my work—it is my jaan. Here is a glimpse into how I create my designs, mix my natural paste, and refine every pattern for my brides.
This video shares my philosophy: "If a henna artist focuses on speed, they can't give a good finish. If they focus on the finish, they can't be fast." I always prioritize a perfect finish for my brides.
A look at one of my practice sheets. I'm always sketching and refining designs to make sure I have fresh, unique ideas for my clients. This is a bridal sider design I created.

About My Art & Process
You will notice that I never rush a design. My process starts with mixing my own 100% organic henna paste with essential oils, which takes patience and time. Every pattern you see on these pages is a reflection of my belief that beautiful finishing is more important than speed. If you choose me, you are choosing a slow, intentional process that respects the art and gives you a deep, dark stain for your big day.
I started as a self-taught artist, practicing on paper and on friends until I could get every line and curve exactly right. This gallery is a window into that practice. You will see my sketchbook pages, my trials with different floral motifs, and the videos of me carefully mixing my henna paste by hand.
Why I Focus on Process
In a world where everyone wants fast results, I chose a different path. I believe that intricate henna—the kind that tells a story—cannot be rushed. When I work on a bridal design, I take the time to map out the flow, ensuring the jaal (net) work and the floral elements are balanced. This is why I ask my brides to trust me with their time. A quality design takes effort, but the result is a rich, dark maroon stain that lasts.
My Natural Approach
I do not use chemical-loaded cones. I mix my own henna using organic powder and natural oils like clove and eucalyptus. This is safe for you and ensures the deepest possible color. Whether it is a traditional Indian pattern with thick coverage or a modern Gulf-style design with delicate trails, my goal is always the same: detail that stays with you.
My Service for You
I bring this entire process to your doorstep in Mumbai. We don't need a salon. We can sit together at your home, chat about your story, and create something that is not just a copy-paste design from the internet. I love incorporating personal elements—like initials or thematic motifs—that make your mehndi truly yours. If you appreciate the art behind the henna and are looking for someone who puts their heart into every dot and line, I am here.
