Specialized Putter Fitting
40% of your game happens on the green, yet most golfers use a putter that works against them. I use Capto and TrackMan technology to analyze your stroke mechanics, face rotation, and tempo to identify the specific equipment setup that suits your natural movement.
A putter fitting session in progress. I analyze the player's stance, stroke, and tempo to understand their natural tendencies before recommending the right putter style and specifications.
How you handle a pressure putt tells me a lot about your stroke. I analyze different putt lengths to understand your mechanics, which helps me choose the right putter neck and head for your game.
Here, I'm explaining the concept of a "face balance putter." Understanding the technical aspects of your equipment is key, and my job is to find the right technology to complement your stroke.
The putter is the only club used on all 18 holes, yet it's the least fitted. A custom-fit putter that matches your stroke is a true game-changer and can shave several shots off your score.
Blade or Mallet? The choice depends entirely on your putting stroke. A blade putter is often better for players with an arc in their stroke, while a mallet offers more stability for a straight-back, straight-through motion.
About Specialized Putter Fitting
Most players try to fix their stroke with endless practice, but often the issue is the equipment itself. If you have an arc-style putting stroke but play with a face-balanced mallet, you are fighting your own mechanics. I see this daily: a simple adjustment to your putter’s neck shape or lie angle often fixes inconsistency instantly, without needing a single lesson.
Your putting stroke is as unique as your thumbprint. In my studio, I do not guess what looks good; I measure how you actually move. We use the Capto Lab system to track your biomechanics in real-time. This reveals your launch, skid, and roll phases immediately upon impact. We identify whether you have a straight-back, straight-through stroke or an arc stroke, which dictates whether you need a blade or a mallet. I check your face rotation and tempo under pressure because the way you putt on the practice green often changes when you are under the gun. Once we have the numbers, we adjust. This might mean bending your current putter's lie angle to ensure the sole sits flat at address, or identifying the exact neck shape that helps you return the face to square. It is not about buying a new, expensive club; it is about making the club you have (or the one you choose) work for your specific anatomy. We operate out of my Lajpat Nagar studio and our Noida academy, where we have the controlled environment needed to isolate these variables away from the wind and turf grain inconsistencies.
Sandy Kashyap
I do not believe in one-size-fits-all golf gear. When you come to me for a putter fitting, I look at how your muscles fire and how your body naturally moves through the stroke. My goal is to get you standing over a putt feeling confident, knowing your equipment is perfectly dialed in to your specific tendencies.
