Courtroom victories are rarely accidental. They are the result of meticulous case study, precise legal argument, and an unwavering commitment to defending your rights.

This is the record of proceedings for a Special Leave Petition I argued in the Supreme Court. The case involved a critical issue regarding the mandatory compliance of Section 50 of the NDPS Act.

A legal blog post detailing the Supreme Court's decision to issue a notice in a case I was involved in. The matter centered on whether contraband seized not directly from a person still requires following the rigor of Section 50 of the NDPS Act.

The SCC Online blog covered the nuances of the NDPS case, highlighting the legal precedents we relied upon. This level of detailed legal argument is crucial in criminal defense.

An invitation for a discussion on bail jurisprudence. Securing both regular and anticipatory bail is a critical part of my practice, and I am committed to upholding the principle that jail should be the exception, not the rule.

About Key Cases & Legal Expertise

When you hire me for a criminal matter, you aren't just paying for an appearance. Whether we are tackling a complex NDPS case or seeking bail, I go into the courtroom armed with specific case law citations and a strategy tailored to the current roster judge. My goal is to find the legal technicality or evidentiary weakness that makes the difference, rather than relying on generic courtroom arguments.

My Approach to Criminal Defense

Criminal law is not just about knowing the sections of the IPC or the CrPC. It is about understanding the system, the police, and the judiciary. My practice is built on a simple premise: justice requires persistence.

NDPS Act and Bail Jurisprudence

My work often centers on complex NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act cases. These are high-stakes matters where the difference between liberty and incarceration often comes down to procedural compliance. I focus heavily on Section 50 of the NDPS Act and its mandatory compliance, using past Supreme Court precedents to challenge the prosecution's theory. I strongly advocate for the principle that 'bail is the rule, jail is the exception', and I draft applications that reflect this, specifically targeting the factual errors in the police's narrative.

The Defense Roadmap

Every case begins with an FIR review. This is the foundation. I spend time in my chamber in the Gurugram District Court analyzing the FIR to identify weak sections, assess arrest risks, and determine the feasibility of a Section 41A CrPC notice.

We cover:

  • Initial Strategy: A 60-minute session to map out the defense roadmap.
  • Bail Arguments: End-to-end handling from custom drafting to personal argumentation, including managing sureties.
  • Trial Defense: Cross-examination of prosecution witnesses, arguing for discharge before the trial begins, and managing Section 313 CrPC statements.

I practice primarily in the District and Sessions Courts of Gurugram and Nuh. Whether it is a trial-level matter or a Special Leave Petition at the Supreme Court, I handle the appearance personally—no junior delegation.
