Getting the balance right between traditional attire and modern chemistry takes a bit of planning. Before every shoot, we have a quick call to match your nauvari saree colours with the location lighting, ensuring your outfit pops. We use our 'mirror posing' technique to help you feel natural in front of the lens, so you can focus on each other instead of the camera.
When shooting a Maharashtrian pre-wedding session, the details matter. We love working with traditional attire—the rich sheen of a Paithani, the elegance of a nauvari saree, or the classic look of a pheta. Our goal is to photograph you in a way that feels natural, not like a costume shoot.
Since we are a husband-wife team, you get two perspectives at every angle. One of us might be catching a candid laugh while the other focuses on the way the light hits your nath (nose ring). We find that having two photographers allows for more freedom during the shoot. You don't have to worry about missing the 'perfect' shot because we are covering your movements from different sides simultaneously.
We typically suggest locations that allow for a blend of traditional and contemporary vibes. Whether you are in a quiet garden in Thane or a more modern architectural setting, we bring our own off-camera flash setups to play with dramatic lighting. This helps us create those moody, silhouette-style portraits that look beautiful in black and white.
Practical tip: We recommend scheduling your shoot to avoid the peak afternoon sun, giving us that soft, golden light that makes skin tones look amazing. We also handle the coordination of your outfit changes—up to three looks—ensuring you feel relaxed and confident throughout the four to five hours we spend together.
