Nature’s Pantry: Real Ingredients for Your Skin
Skincare is only as good as the ingredients that go into it. I believe in choosing real, recognisable elements—fresh produce, gentle butters, and time-tested herbs—that nourish your skin without hidden chemicals.
This is Mahua butter, a wonderful emollient indigenous to India. I use it in my Moringa soap for its ability to moisturize dry skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines.
The star ingredient of my Cooling Ice Apple soap is the fruit itself, also known as Tadgola. I puree the fresh, jelly-like pulp to add its natural, cooling properties directly into the soap.

A collection of some of the beautiful, natural ingredients I use in my haircare products. Here you can see dried calendula, sage leaves, moringa, and various herbal powders.
Fresh moringa leaves, packed with nutrients for skin and hair. I use both fresh and powdered moringa in my soaps and shampoo bars for its cleansing and strengthening benefits.
A close-up of dried calendula petals and other herbs. I love using botanicals not just for their benefits, but also for the natural beauty they add to my products.
Fresh curry leaves and other dried herbs from my ingredient collection. Curry leaves are a traditional Indian remedy for healthy hair, which is why I include them in my haircare formulations.
A bowl of fresh curry leaves. I infuse oils with these leaves or add them directly to my shampoo bars to help promote hair strength and vitality.
A glimpse into my pantry. You can see herbal powders, fenugreek seeds, rice, fresh carrots, and curry leaves, all of which I use in various skin and hair care recipes.
A fresh, vibrant pumpkin. I make my own pumpkin puree to use in my Pumpkin Cream salt bars, harnessing its natural enzymes and vitamins for glowing skin.
About From Nature's Pantry: Our Ingredients
I prioritize ingredients like Mahua butter and fresh pumpkin puree because they offer tangible skin benefits that synthetic fillers cannot match. When you choose a bar with these ingredients, you are getting cold-pressed nourishment that stays true to its source, providing deep, natural hydration for even the most sensitive skin types.
Why I Choose These Ingredients
My pantry is my lab. For the last eight years, I have lived a completely chemical-free life, and that approach extends directly to the ingredients I select. I avoid synthetic fragrances and parabens, choosing instead to use components that are either food-grade or traditional botanical remedies.
Local Ingredients, Real Results
- Mahua Butter: This is an indigenous Indian treasure. Extracted from the seeds of the Madhuca longifolia tree, it is a fantastic emollient. I use it in my soaps to help lock in moisture for dry skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines.
- Fresh Pumpkin & Carrots: I process these myself to harness their natural vitamins and enzymes. The beta-carotene in carrots and the natural enzymes in pumpkin puree add a richness to the lather that leaves skin feeling soft rather than stripped.
- Ice Apple (Tadgola): A staple of our Indian summers, I incorporate this fresh, jelly-like pulp into my cooling soaps for its naturally soothing and hydrating properties.
- Herbs and Botanicals: From curry leaves used to promote hair health to calendula petals for their gentle properties, every herb is chosen for a specific purpose.
The 'No-Cheat' Promise
If you see an ingredient on my label, it is there for a reason. You will not find any palm oil in my batches, and you certainly will not find anything you cannot pronounce. I believe that your skin deserves the same quality of care that you would put into a healthy meal. This is why I batch my soaps in small quantities—to ensure that the integrity of these raw, natural ingredients is maintained from the moment they are mixed until they reach your hands.
