Building the Foundation

For shorter hair, I rely on firm crimping and specific stuffing techniques. By creating a solid anchor point at the crown, we can fake the length needed for a fuller bun. I teach my students exactly where to place pins to hide the short layers, ensuring the style remains secure from the Haldi ceremony to the Reception.

Styling & Accessories

Once the structure is set, the fun begins. We work on layering hair around the padding to ensure no seams are visible. For the traditional Maharashtrian look, fixing the gajra or mogra is key. I show you how to pin these so they stay fresh and do not sag. If you are struggling with hair that just won't hold, we also cover the right type of texturizing sprays and holding products that do not make the hair look sticky.
