Feeling camera-shy? Don't stress. I’ve walked many couples through this. Let's look at how to strip away the jitters so your pre-wedding shoot feels like a relaxed date, not a stiff production.

Planning your pre-wedding shoot? In this video, I walk you through the first steps, from choosing the perfect location to coordinating your outfits. My goal is to make the process effortless and fun.

In part two of my pre-wedding tips, I talk about finding natural poses and the importance of trusting your photographer. Let my experienced team and I guide you to bring out the best in every shot.

About My Process & Tips

Most couples worry that they aren't photogenic enough. My process is specifically designed to bypass that fear. I don't give you stiff instructions on where to stand; instead, I give you prompts—simple activities or conversation starters—that naturally pull out that real laughter or the way you look at each other when you think nobody is watching.

Your Vibe, Your Rules

Before we pick a camera, we pick a feeling. Whether you want the royal grandeur of an Udaipur palace or the quiet intimacy of your favorite chai spot, the location is just the stage for your story. We start with a mood board session where we discuss your comfort zone. If you hate posing, we skip it. We lean into movement, walking, laughing, and just 'being' until the camera becomes invisible to you.

The Styling Balance

Coordinating outfits doesn't mean matching perfectly. It means color palettes that complement each other and the setting. I provide guidance on accessories and fabrics that catch light well, ensuring your photos look timeless, not trend-heavy. Think of your wardrobe as an extension of your personality—if you’re comfortable, you’ll look confident.

Why Trust Matters

The biggest technical challenge is actually emotional. When you trust your photographer, the 'performative' aspect vanishes. My team handles the technical side—lighting, framing, and angles—so you don't have to think about it. We use off-camera flash for drama or natural golden hour light for that dreamy glow, adjusting on the fly based on the weather and the mood of the day.

Let’s Get Practical

  • Duration: My sessions range from 6 to 10 hours, allowing enough time for outfits to change and nerves to settle.
  • Directing: I don't shout orders. I suggest. If a prompt doesn't land, we pivot instantly.
  • Collaboration: Your ideas are the foundation. Whether it's a specific hobby you share or a theme you’ve dreamed of, bring it to the table.

I’m Fotowale, and I don't just click pictures; I look for the 'click' between you two. My job is to fade into the background so your real laughter and messy, beautiful moments take center stage. When we shoot, it feels less like a production and more like capturing a story that was already written.
