Each of these ocean friends, from my reversible octopuses to the tiny whales, is stuffed firmly to hold its shape while staying soft enough to cuddle. I use 100% cotton yarn so they are safe for little ones and machine washable on a gentle cycle, meaning they handle daily playtime as well as they look on a shelf.
When I crochet these sea creatures, I prioritize the feel and durability above all else. Because I use 100% cotton or milk cotton yarn, the toys are hypoallergenic and gentle on skin, which is why they work so well as nursery decor or baby gifts.
