From a desk-based startup during the pandemic to active litigation in the Delhi High Court, this is the story of how Ma'at Advisors became a voice for creative rights.

In this video, I celebrate five years in the legal profession. I share my gratitude for the clients, family, and mentors who have supported me throughout this incredible journey.

This photo was taken to mark half a decade in litigation. It represents the culmination of years of hard work, learning, and growth in a profession I have come to love.

Marking three years of Ma'at Advisors. I reflect on the firm's journey and recommit to my mission of making the fashion industry fairer and more transparent through legal advocacy.

A look back at how my firm started in 2021. It began with a vision to create a practice that understood both the language of law and the pulse of fashion.

This explains my "why". Growing up around law and being drawn to design, I realized fashion needed legal structure, and Ma'at Advisors was my answer to that need.

Four years ago, I took a leap of faith. This graphic commemorates the beginning of Ma'at Advisors, born from a desire to build something of my own.

Reflecting on how the industry has evolved. IP protection and solid contracts are now seen as essentials, a shift I am proud to have contributed to.

A summary of the diverse clients I've worked with over the years. Each one has added to the fabric of my firm's story and my growth as a lawyer.

About Milestones & Reflections

Every case file and milestone photo here represents a specific point where Ma'at Advisors moved from a laptop-on-a-desk setup to active fashion litigation in the Delhi High Court. I did not set out to start a firm during a lockdown, but that isolation gave me the space to figure out exactly how the fashion industry needed legal protection—not just as a service, but as a partner for creators who are tired of being taken advantage of.

When I started Ma'at Advisors in 2021, I was balancing a desire for design with the heavy reality of legal compliance. Many people in the fashion and creative industries still treat legal issues—like copyright infringement, design protection, and contract disputes—as an afterthought, something to deal with only when things go wrong.

My journey over these past years has been about changing that perspective. Whether it is registering a trademark for an emerging Indian streetwear label or fighting for payment security in a photographer's agreement, the goal remains the same: simplifying the legal scaffolding so you can focus on the creative output.

I handle a wide range of matters, including:

  • Contract Drafting & Vetting: Protecting usage rights and ensuring your payment terms are secure.
  • IP Strategy: Helping brands navigate Trademark classes and design rights to prevent copycat issues.
  • Litigation: Representing creative professionals in the Delhi High Court and beyond.

The law is often painted as a rigid, scary machine. My experience has shown me that it is actually a tool for empowerment. When you know your rights, you have the confidence to say no to bad deals and yes to your own growth. This section of my gallery captures that progression—the moments where I shifted from questioning my path to owning my role as a specialist in fashion law.
