This session wasn't about staging poses or finding the ideal backdrop. We sat on the floor flipping through an album from 1985, and I simply watched how they still looked at each other. Real intimacy, like this 38-year bond, doesn't need direction; it only needs to be held still for a moment.
Most of my work revolves around the high energy of wedding days, but I have always been drawn to the quiet moments that follow. When I captured Rohit and Usha, there were no heavy lights or complex equipment. It was just them, their old photographs, and a lifetime of shared memories.
