PRP Therapy for Hair Loss and Scalp Health
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a non-surgical way to combat thinning hair and reduce active hair fall using your body’s own natural growth factors.
This video shows a Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) session in our clinic. We prepare the PRP from the patient's own blood and inject it into the scalp to help reduce hair fall and stimulate the follicles.
About Supporting Hair Health: PRP Treatment
PRP isn't a magic wand, but it is a proven maintenance step if you catch hair thinning early. We isolate the growth factors from your own blood using a double-spin process, then use tiny needles to inject them directly into your scalp. It is a 45-minute procedure with zero downtime, aimed at strengthening the follicles you still have and slowing down further shedding.
How Our PRP Process Works
Many patients ask if PRP is just a vitamin injection. It is not. We use your own blood, which contains platelets packed with growth factors. Here is how we do it at our Noida clinic:
- Collection & Separation: We draw a small amount of your blood (10-20ml) and run it through a double-spin centrifuge. This separates the plasma from the red blood cells, concentrating the platelets.
- Numbing: We apply a scalp block or numbing spray to make the injections comfortable.
- Precise Injection: The concentrated plasma is injected into the scalp areas showing thinning, directly targeting the follicle roots.
Who Is This For?
PRP is not a solution for complete baldness. It works best for:
- Patients in the early stages of Androgenetic Alopecia (pattern thinning).
- Those experiencing diffuse hair fall.
- Individuals looking to support their hair health after a transplant.
If you have lost hair completely in an area, the follicles are likely gone, and PRP cannot 'regrow' them. In those cases, we discuss transplant options.
The Reality of Recovery
There is no 'recovery' in the surgical sense. You can walk out of our Sector 49 clinic and return to your daily routine immediately. Some patients report mild tenderness on the scalp for a few hours, but that is it. We usually recommend a series of sessions to see consistent results, as the growth factors need time to strengthen the hair cycle.
