The Art of the Jump Smash
The jump smash is where technique meets raw power. It is not just about the leap; it is about timing, body rotation, and the follow-through. Here is how our players bring the heat to the court.

About The Art of the Jump Smash
A jump smash looks effortless in photos, but it is built on hours of repetitive footwork drills and conditioning. Whether you are playing on our synthetic mats or wooden courts, the right technique protects your knees and increases your power, which is exactly what we focus on during our skill-building sessions.
Mastering the Jump Smash
Most players think the power comes from the arm, but it actually starts with your core and your jump. If you are struggling to get height, we likely need to look at your split-step and your explosive footwork before you worry about your racket swing.
At Eminent Badminton Academy, we break these complex movements into steps you can actually practice. We use our 30ft high ceilings and bright industrial lighting to ensure you have full visibility of the shuttle, which makes a massive difference when you are airborne.
Where We Play
We operate two dedicated facilities in Gurugram: Sector 9B and Sector 102. Both locations are equipped with either professional green synthetic mats or classic wooden parquet flooring. The synthetic surface is particularly popular with our students because it offers superior grip for those hard landings after a smash, reducing the strain on your joints.
