About Behind the Scenes & Makeup Tips
When I work on dry or dehydrated skin, the magic isn't in the foundation—it's in the prep. I often spend 15 minutes just on hydration, using multiple layers of moisturizer and light, water-based serums before a single drop of product touches your face. This prevents that dreaded cakey look and lets your natural glow shine through, even under bright wedding lights.
People often ask me how I achieve that consistent, 'no-filter' finish. The secret is simple: I don't hide your skin, I enhance it. Whether you are dealing with extreme dryness, acne texture, or vitiligo, my approach remains the same. I focus on breathable coverage using products from brands like Nars and Charlotte Tilbury, which are designed to melt into your skin rather than sitting on top of it.
My Process & Tips
- Skin Prep is Non-Negotiable: I use targeted icing and serum layering for every client. If you have dry skin, I use specialized humectants to keep the base fresh for hours without it sliding off.
- Handling Texture: For textured skin, I reach for silicone-free primers that blur without clogging pores, ensuring a smooth surface before we start.
- Longevity: For my brides, I use sweat-proof setting sprays that keep that 'dewy' look intact for 6 to 8 hours. It stays locked in, but never feels heavy.
- Lighting Matters: When we prepare for your big day, I consider your event lighting. A Sangeet with heavy stage lights needs a different balance of strobe cream than a sunny, daytime Haldi ceremony.
