Acne Scar Removal & Skin Texture Correction
Stop experimenting with your skin. Acne scars require medical procedures, not kitchen hacks. Here is how we use science-backed lasers to safely repair your skin texture.
This video shows another angle of a fractional laser treatment for deep-set acne scars. The procedure is quick and targets the damaged skin layer by layer. This method is highly effective for atrophic and rolling scars, leading to smoother skin over a course of sessions.
During this lecture at DERMACON 2025, I discussed the technical aspects of using ablative and non-ablative fractional lasers for skin resurfacing. Understanding the science of how deep the laser penetrates is key to getting results for patients while managing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
Please do not waste your time or risk damaging your skin with home remedies for acne scars. Things like lemon, honey, or baking soda cannot penetrate the skin deep enough to repair the damaged collagen that causes scarring. This video explains why only medical procedures work.
About Acne Scar & Skin Texture Correction
Understand this: acne scars are permanent structural changes in your skin. No cream, serum, or DIY hack can fix them because they cannot reach the depth of damaged collagen. My process starts with a proper assessment of your scar type—whether it is rolling, boxcar, or icepick—to decide if Fractional CO2, MNRF, or NanoFractional lasers are actually going to give you results. Stop wasting time on products and start a conversation about what your skin actually needs.
Why Home Remedies Fail
Scars are deep. They are not a surface blemish. When you rub lemon, honey, or turmeric on a scar, you are only treating the top layer of skin. The damage is in the dermis. My job is to stimulate your skin to produce new collagen. That requires medical-grade energy, not kitchen ingredients.
My Treatment Approach
I do not believe in 'copy-paste' solutions. Every face is different, and so is every scar.
- Fractional CO2 Laser: For deep, stubborn scars. It is ablative, meaning it removes micro-layers of skin to trigger deep healing. Expect 4–5 days of downtime.
- MNRF (Microneedle Radiofrequency): Excellent for texture. It sends heat energy into the deeper skin layers without removing the surface, which means faster recovery.
- NanoFractional Lasers: A lighter touch for those who cannot take much time off work.
The Reality of Downtime
I will not sugarcoat it. If you want results, there will be a healing phase. Your skin might crust, it will be red, and you must be disciplined with sun protection. If you are preparing for a wedding or an event, come to my Rajouri Garden clinic at least three months in advance. We need time for the collagen to regenerate.
Don’t Be a Hero
Stop popping pimples. If you have active acne, treat that first. Treating scars while active acne is present is a waste of your money and effort. Let us get the inflammation under control before we go after the scars.
