Shooting festival pandals at night is a technical challenge. Most drones struggle with low light, but I use specific exposure settings on my Phantom 4 to make sure the glowing lights and intricate pandal details remain sharp. It is not just about getting the height; it is about ensuring the vibrant colors and festival energy translate perfectly from the sky to your screen.
I have spent years finding the perfect balance between high-altitude flight and low-light photography. Whether it is a massive Durga Puja pandal in Prayagraj or a busy local mela, the key is the flight path. I plan dynamic orbits and cinematic flyovers that reveal the true scale of the gathering, then I personally edit the footage to make the reds and golds pop. I do not just hand over raw files; I provide a color-graded highlight reel that captures the mood of the event. If you have a specific theme, like a rocket-styled pandal or a traditional temple architecture, I know how to frame the drone shot to highlight the craftsmanship and the audience's reaction. I mostly use the DJI Phantom 4 for these night shoots because of its stability, ensuring smooth footage even when the city lights are bright and the surrounding area is dark. For me, these are more than just event shots. It is about preserving the spirit of the city. I am based in Mirzapur and Prayagraj, but I am always happy to travel to Varanasi, Noida, or Jaipur for your festival coverage.
