Myth: Slugging every night is good for you. Reality: For oily skin, especially in Indian humidity, thick layers of Vaseline can clog pores and lead to breakouts. Use it only if your skin truly needs it.

Myth: DIY peels from TikTok are safe. Reality: Many homemade peels are too harsh and lack control, which can seriously damage your skin barrier and cause chemical burns or pigmentation.

Myth: You should use all your strong actives at once. Reality: Layering multiple active ingredients without guidance can damage your skin barrier. It's important to start slow, buffer where needed, and listen to your skin.

Myth: Misting with rose water 10 times a day is hydrating. Reality: Overuse can disrupt your skin barrier. Stick to once or twice daily and always seal it in with a moisturizer to prevent moisture loss.

Myth: Cloudy skies mean you don't need sunscreen. Reality: Up to 80% of UV rays can penetrate clouds and hit your skin. Sunscreen isn't just for sunny days, it's for every day.

Myth: Toothpaste is a good spot treatment for pimples. Reality: Toothpaste is formulated for teeth, not skin. Its ingredients can be highly irritating and do more harm than good for acne.

Myth: Oily skin doesn't need a moisturizer. Reality: Skipping moisturizer can actually trigger your skin to produce even more oil to compensate for the lack of hydration. A lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer is key.
