When you book for a festival or special event, the sound setup is everything. At massive outdoor venues like Marve beach or ballroom awards, I do not just plug in and play. I coordinate with your event team to ensure the audio levels hit right for the entire crowd, whether it is 50 people or 500. You need a DJ who knows how to handle large-scale PA inputs and crowd engagement, not just a home setup.
Organizing a large-scale event in Mumbai or traveling for a destination gig requires a different level of technical preparation. I have been behind the decks since 2002, moving from club residencies to award functions like the TIIFA Awards at JW Marriott and outdoor beach festivals.
The Technical Reality
When you hire for a special event, you are not just paying for a playlist. You are paying for the technical experience. I bring my own high-end controllers and know exactly how to patch into line arrays, subwoofers, and monitors provided by the venue. This is how we ensure that the Bolly-Tech, Afro-House, or UK Punjabi tracks sound crisp, even in open-air settings.
The Vibe
My job at a festival or special event is to bridge the gap between the music and the audience. I do not just stand behind the console. I am on the mic, reading the energy of the crowd. Whether it is a sunrise set or an evening award show, I adapt the genres to keep the momentum going. I have traveled across Pune, Goa, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru for these gigs, and I bring the same Mumbai energy to every stage I step on.
