Trying to decide between PRP, GFC, or a transplant? These treatments can help with early thinning, but knowing which one actually suits your scalp is key to avoiding wasted effort.

Are you confused between PRP and a hair transplant? This graphic helps clarify the choice. PRP is generally for early-stage thinning, while a transplant is for established bald patches. At my clinic, we will guide you to the right solution for your scalp.

GFC therapy is a treatment that uses your body's own healing power. It involves no chemicals and has no downtime, focusing only on real regrowth. This is an option we can discuss for boosting hair thickness and reducing hair fall naturally.

About Understanding PRP & GFC Treatments

Many people come to me asking for PRP or GFC simply because they saw it online. The truth is, these injections are effective for early thinning, but they aren't a substitute for a transplant when you have established bald patches. My job is to look at your scalp density and tell you honestly whether you need these sessions or if we should skip the needles for my gene biohacking therapy instead.

PRP vs. GFC: What Really Works?

If you are seeing early signs of thinning, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) are valid options. PRP uses your own blood plasma to stimulate hair follicles, while GFC is a more concentrated version that isolates specific growth factors. Both involve micro-injections into the scalp, which is why I am very specific about who needs them.

Why I Might Suggest Against Them

I have seen too many clinics perform these injections on scalps where the follicles are already dormant or dead. If the hair loss has progressed beyond a certain point, no amount of PRP will bring it back. That is when a transplant is the only honest solution. I do not believe in taking your money for a treatment that will not give you results.

My Non-Surgical Alternative

For many patients, I prefer my gene biohacking therapy over injections. It is a painless, needle-free approach that targets the root cause of hair loss by activating your body's own growth genes. It covers a larger scalp area than PRP injections can, and frankly, it is more comfortable.

When you visit my clinic in C.R. Park, we will assess your biological age, genetics, and scalp condition. We are not here to sell you the most expensive procedure; we are here to get you the most effective result. If your thinning is early-stage, we will design a plan that works. If you need a transplant, I will tell you that directly.

I’m Dr. Arvind Poswal. After 25 years in this field, I’ve seen enough hair restoration trends come and go, but the basics of scalp health remain the same. I don't believe in 'one size fits all' solutions, so I will be honest with you about whether PRP or GFC is actually going to work for your specific pattern of hair loss.
