Saree Draping for Family and Honoured Guests
Whether it is the mother of the bride or close family friends, I ensure every guest feels comfortable and elegant. Let me handle the pleats so you can focus on the celebration.
Behind every beautiful bride is a mother filled with grace. I had the pleasure of draping the mother of the bride in this magnificent lehenga for the Walima ceremony.
It was a joy to drape these lovely ladies from the US for their friend's Nikkah ceremony in Mumbai. I chose elegant drapes for their velvet sarees that were both beautiful and comfortable.
I had the opportunity to drape the lovely Dr. Geetanjali, a celebrity astrologer, for an event. Her trust in my work means the world to me.

Celebrating sisterhood and new beginnings. It was double the joy draping these two beautiful brides, who are sisters, for their special day in coordinated Maharashtrian sarees.
From the US to Maharashtra. This bride wanted to embrace her new family's traditions, and I was thrilled to drape her in a beautiful Paithani saree.
My favorite muse, my teacher. It is always an honor to drape her, and this time it was in a beautiful purple silk saree with an embroidered blouse.

My teacher in another stunning look, this time a golden tissue saree paired with a floral blouse. Her elegance is timeless.
About For Family & Honoured Guests
Draping for family is not just about making them look pretty, it is about comfort and movement. I focus on secure, practical pinning that keeps a saree or lehenga in place even after hours of dancing or sitting through long ceremonies. When the family feels secure in their outfit, they actually join the fun instead of constantly adjusting their pallu or pleats.
Wedding days are busy for everyone, not just the bride. My goal for family members and guests is to remove the stress of getting ready, ensuring everyone looks polished and feels confident from the first photo to the final dance.
Why Professional Draping for Guests Matters
Guests often have to navigate crowded venues, manage heavy silk sarees, or handle tricky georgette drapes. My process includes:
- Silhouette Correction: I work with various body types to ensure the drape is flattering and secure, regardless of the fabric.
- Movement-First Styling: Whether you are attending a traditional Nikkah, a vibrant Sangeet, or a formal reception, I pin your outfit so you can move, sit, and dance without worry.
- Attention to Detail: I use rust-proof, concealed safety pins and skin-safe fashion tape. No visible silver heads, and definitely no mishaps in the middle of a ceremony.
Diverse Styles for Every Occasion
I love working with the variety of outfits family members choose to wear. From helping a cousin style a modern lehenga with a heavy dupatta to ensuring a mother feels dignified and traditional in her Kanjeevaram, I adapt to the specific requirement. I am well-versed in regional styles including the 9-yard Madisar or the Maharashtrian Navari, so you can embrace your family traditions with ease. If you have guests traveling from out of town, I make sure they feel at home by handling their draping needs with the same care I would give a bride.
