A peek into our world where early childhood development meets pure, messy fun. From live ukulele jams to taste-safe sensory adventures, see how we build connections and confidence.

Welcome to our world of play! This is a little peek into our sessions, where we get to sing, create messy art, explore with lights, and splash around. Every class is a new adventure filled with music, connection, and lots of giggles.

Ever wonder why I always have my ukulele with me? Live music is magical for little ones. It helps me tune into the energy of the room and supports your child's cognitive development by building new neural pathways. In this video, I explain why we choose live music over recordings every time.

Look at this beautiful, taste-safe sensory tray! We use natural materials like fruits, leaves, and grains to create hands-on experiences. These activities allow babies and toddlers to explore different textures, smells, and colours in a safe and engaging way.

From tiny tambourine shakes to big, expressive dances, music is at the heart of what we do. I use my ukulele and a variety of percussion instruments to introduce concepts like rhythm and pitch. It’s amazing to watch even the littlest children find their beat and move to the music.

We're going on a bear hunt! We bring classic stories to life by turning them into multi-sensory art adventures. Here, we're swishing through a "river" with paint and squelching through "mud," making the story a tangible, memorable experience.

The Sound of Christmas was one of our most special events! It was a joy to sing and dance with so many families, spreading holiday cheer. My classes often lead to little performances, giving children a chance to shine and share what they've learned.

This picture captures the magic of our music sessions. A study by McMaster University found that interactive music classes help babies smile more and communicate better. I see this firsthand every single day, and it’s the most rewarding part of my work.

About this collection

In my sessions, I use my ukulele, Red, to do more than just play songs—I use it to regulate the room’s energy, helping littles transition from high-energy movement to focused listening. Whether we're exploring taste-safe sensory bins filled with natural materials or practicing rhythm, you’ll find that I prioritize the 'how' of learning over the 'what,' ensuring your child feels safe to express themselves exactly as they are.

My approach at Do Re Minis blends the structure of performing arts with the freedom of play. I believe that for a child, learning should feel like an adventure, not a pressure.

Why Music Matters

I don’t use backing tracks in my classes. Live music allows me to tune into the room’s energy. If the babies are restless, I can slow the tempo; if they have bursts of energy, we speed it up. Using instruments like shakers, bells, and my ukulele helps children develop rhythm, pitch, and fine motor skills. It’s noisy, sometimes chaotic, and completely wonderful.

The Sensory & Art Experience

Messy play is a staple here, but it is always deliberate. I curate sensory bins using taste-safe, natural materials—grains, lentils, or colourful edible paints—so babies and toddlers can explore textures with their hands and mouths without worry. This is how we light up neural pathways and build cognitive awareness in the early years.

A Space for Parents

I see you. Getting out the door with a little one is a victory in itself. My classes are designed to be a community where you can catch a breath, share a coffee, and connect with other parents. Whether you are joining our weekly Music & Drama Academy or a weekend themed immersion workshop, my goal is that you and your child leave with a little more confidence and a lot more joy than when you arrived.

Hi, I'm Rinila! I believe the early years are full of magic, and my sessions are designed to be a space where kids can be their noisy, messy, joyful selves. When I'm not running around with my ukulele, you’ll usually find me hanging out with parents who are looking for a community and a little bit of breathing room.
