About Festival & Community Curation
Curation at this scale is not just about picking songs, it is about the flow. I balance the technical requirements of major institutions with the grassroots energy of community festivals. We handle everything from talent lineups and sound checks to community partner integration, ensuring your event keeps that authentic, high-energy vibe throughout the entire run of show.
When I build an event, I am thinking about the total experience, not just the playlist. Whether we are transforming a quiet museum atrium into a dance hall or shutting down a street for a block party, the goal remains the same: radical joy and community connection.
My Approach to Curation
- The Mix: I program lineups that blend legends with emerging talent. It is about creating a sonic journey that feels cohesive, whether it is a 3-hour ambient set for a gallery opening or a high-energy dance set for Diwali.
- The Logistics: Large-scale events require precision. I handle the technical riders, sound engineering coordination, and stage management. You don't have to worry about the feedback loops or the changeover timing—that is my job.
- The Community Hook: I partner with grassroots collectives to ensure the space feels accessible. This means integrating community booths, live percussionists like Dholis, or interactive dance workshops directly into the event flow.
