Basement Bhangra Archives and Official Merchandise
Beyond the club, I'm documenting our history and building the gear that carries our legacy. From archival flyers to official Basement Bhangra threads, this is the story of our scene.
Rep the legacy. I offer official Basement Bhangra merchandise, like this classic t-shirt, so the community can carry the vibe with them everywhere. This is me with Raaginder, a brilliant violinist I've collaborated with.

A throwback to a classic "Bhangra against Bush" flyer from the Basement Bhangra archives. My parties have always been a space for political expression and community activism.
I was honored to donate my personal archives to the Fales Library at NYU. This collection documents over two decades of my work and the history of South Asian diasporic nightlife in NYC.

About Brand & Archives
My archive is more than just old flyers; it is a living record of South Asian nightlife donated to the Fales Library at NYU to ensure our scene's impact is never forgotten. If you are looking for gear, our official t-shirts and hats are produced in limited runs, designed to be worn on the dance floor and beyond, with inventory that moves fast.
Preserving Our Nightlife History
My work in NYC has always been about more than just a single night on the dance floor. It is about capturing the moment, the political expression, and the cultural shift we drove together. I have spent over two decades collecting the flyers, guest lists, and photographs that document the rise of the South Asian diaspora in NYC’s club scene.
These are not just papers; they are historical artifacts. By donating my personal archive to the Fales Library at NYU, I have made sure that the history of venues like S.O.B.'s, our block parties, and our queer-centric events remains accessible to scholars and the community. This collection stands alongside other crucial labor and activist archives, solidifying our place in the city's broader story.
Representing the Movement
The gear I produce is an extension of that same energy. When you wear a Basement Bhangra t-shirt or hat, you are not just wearing merch; you are repping a movement. I keep production runs limited because these items are meant to be community staples, not fast-fashion throwaways. Whether it is a toddler-sized tee or a classic dad hat, everything is made for the dance floor. Keep an eye on our drops—our archival-inspired releases often include rare, original event artwork from our history.
DJ Rekha
