Getting a track from an idea to a club-ready remix takes more than just software. Here is a look at the workflow I use in my Patparganj studio to blend Bollywood hits with electronic beats.

Here's a glimpse into my creative process, re-imagining the popular Coke Studio track 'Khalasi'. I'm building a deep bassline and programming a new beat to give the song a completely different, club-ready energy.

This is how I experiment with different genres. I took the iconic 'Pathaan' theme and gave it a Trap-style makeover, playing the melody on my Korg keyboard and building a heavy beat structure in my DAW.

In this session, I'm creating a Mid-Tempo vibe for 'Jhoome Jo Pathaan'. You can see me working out the chord progressions and programming the drum patterns, showing how a track is built layer by layer.

About In the Studio: The Production Process

When I sit down to remix a track like 'Khalasi' or 'Pathaan', I start by breaking down the original melody and re-mapping it to a specific groove, like Trap or Deep House. The goal is to make the bassline hit hard without drowning out the vocals, which requires precise EQ and layer management in Ableton Live. It's about finding that balance between the electronic pulse and the soul of the original song, rather than just layering sounds over a beat.
