Behind the Decks: My Mumbai DJ Grind
People see the festival stages, but the journey started way before that. Here is the reality of the hustle and the sound that defines my sets.
In an exclusive interview, I talk about my journey. I discuss my philosophy of playing for everyone, and how I went from small gigs to big stages. This is my story.
From smoking cone to Rolling Stone. It's a blessing to see how far music has brought me. Standing here at the Rolling Stone studio is a milestone.
At the Spotify Rap 91 event. It's great to see hip-hop getting the platform it deserves, and I'm proud to be a part of the culture.
An artistic shot of me at the decks, with light trails capturing the motion and energy of a live set. Music is a universal language.
On stage with my logo on the big screen. It's a great feeling to see your name in lights, a reminder of how far the grind has brought me.

A candid shot, just vibing. My style is a mix of hip-hop culture and my own personality.

About Behind the Decks: My Grind
Before hitting the major festival stages, I played 550 gigs in five years to master the room. I do not run a fixed crew, which means my sets are tailored to the specific energy of the crowd I am looking at, not a canned playlist. If you are booking me, we have a required pre-event call to align my hip-hop and Afrobeat mashups with your specific party theme and venue acoustics.
Naam banane se banega, naam rakhne se nahi. That is the philosophy I carry to every show, whether it is a packed club residency at Raasta Bombay or a massive festival set.
My sets are built on a foundation of Hip-Hop, Afrobeat, and Dancehall. I don't believe in sticking to one scene or crew; I play for everyone, which is why you will hear me mixing international legends with Desi rap artists like Divine and Karan Aujla. My signature style relies on creative wordplay and unpredictable mashups where I blend tracks that have no business going together, but somehow create fire.
When you book me, you are getting the same energy I brought to the 550 gigs I played between 2014 and 2019. I am strictly about the performance. I bring my own laptop and library, but I depend on you to provide a solid sound system and professional CDJ setup so I can focus on the crowd control, not fixing gear. I have played concerts for 50 Cent and toured with Gully Gang, so I know how to keep the floor moving for crowds of any size.
