Crowd Control: The MC Experience
I don't just stand behind the console. Whether I'm playing a club night in Mumbai or a sangeet in Bangalore, I’m on the mic making sure the energy stays at 100. It’s all about connecting with the room.

About this collection
When I’m on the mic, it isn't just for noise. I manage the transitions and keep the flow tight so the dance floor stays packed. If you want a sangeet or club night where the energy doesn't dip, we need to sync on your specific do-not-play list and the vibe you want for the main moments. I run on a professional Pioneer setup, so if you are booking me for a private event, ensure the venue has the right sound system in place so the output remains crisp.
Being a DJ is fifty percent playing the right music and fifty percent knowing when to speak. A lot of people think 'Crowd Control' means screaming over the drops. For me, it is about timing. It is reading the room, noticing when the energy is drifting, and using the mic to pull everyone back into the zone.
My MC style is high-energy, but it is controlled. I focus on hype moments—bridging from a retro Bollywood track to a heavy Bollytech remix without killing the momentum. I have done everything from massive club nights in Goa to intimate private sangeets, and the goal remains the same: I want the crowd to feel like they are part of the show, not just spectators.
Why the MC matters
It’s about communication. I interact with the crowd to keep them engaged, but I also work with planners to ensure the protocols—like bride entries or specific speeches—happen at the right musical peak.
Technical requirements for your event
To pull this off, I don't use 'jugaad' sound systems. I work exclusively on Pioneer gear (CDJ 2000 NXS2 or 3000s and a DJM 900 mixer). Whether you are in Pune, Hyderabad, or Bangalore, I travel with my headphones and USBs, but I rely on you to have a solid sound setup at the venue. If the sound system is weak, the best set in the world will fall flat.
If you are planning an event and want that 'club-in-a-hall' vibe, let's talk about the flow. I prefer a pre-gig consultation to align on your preferences, and I will bring the custom motion graphics to make sure the visual production hits as hard as the music.
Manan Sarvaiya
I’m Manan. When I’m not in the studio cooking up new Bollytech sounds, I’m on the decks with a mic in my hand. For me, a set isn't just about the tracks; it's about connecting with everyone on the floor, from the first beat to the last.
