AD100 Award-Winning Interior Design Philosophy
Being featured on the AD100 list since 2018 is a milestone in my 15-year journey, but the real reward is the trust clients place in me to tell their stories through design.
This feature in Architectural Digest for the AD100 list is a moment of immense gratitude. For me, this recognition is not just an award, but a celebration of the countless hours and unwavering passion my team and I pour into each project, and a thank you to the clients who trust us with their dreams.
Receiving the AD100 award, and to have received it for eight consecutive years, is a powerful reminder of why I love what I do. This trophy represents the hard work of my entire rock-solid team and our shared commitment to creating meaningful, beautiful spaces, even on the most challenging days.
About Awards & Recognition
These awards represent a decade and a half of listening to my clients and translating their personal histories into living spaces. Whether I am transforming a compact vanity van for life on the move or restoring a heritage home to its former glory, my approach remains grounded in the same principle: design by feeling. I prioritize the emotional resonance of a room over static moodboards, ensuring that every corner tells your specific story.
My design practice has always been about more than aesthetics. It is a dialogue between the old and the new, the seen and the felt. Over the past 15 years, traveling to places with deep historical roots has shaped my philosophy. I have learned to appreciate the slow process of working with local karigars (artisans) and the impact of hand-painted details on a room's character.
Why Design by Feeling Matters
When I work on a project, we start with honest conversations. I want to understand your daily rhythm, what makes you smile, and what kind of sanctuary you need after a long day. This is how we move away from generic setups toward something that feels like an extension of yourself.
A Versatile Approach
My work spans a variety of needs, each requiring a different sensitivity:
- Heritage Renovation: Here, I focus on preserving the soul of the structure while making it livable for today.
- Vanity Van Design: These projects are an exercise in extreme functionality, fitting a home’s worth of comfort into less than 80 sq. ft. without losing the personal touch.
- Residential and Office Interiors: These spaces rely on mixing your existing pieces with new finds, creating a narrative that feels lived-in and authentic.
By staying true to this vision, my team and I have been honored to be on the AD100 list for eight consecutive years. It is a reminder that when you lead with passion and authenticity, the spaces you create truly stand the test of time.
