Laser Tattoo Removal in Marathahalli, Bengaluru
Tattoo removal is a medical procedure. I use precise, FDA approved Q-switch laser technology to break down ink pigments safely while protecting your surrounding skin!
This video shows the Q-switch laser in action during a tattoo removal session. You can see how the laser energy is directed at the ink particles within the skin, starting the process of breaking down a large, detailed portrait tattoo.
Here, I am treating a smaller tattoo on the foot. The procedure is precise, targeting only the unwanted ink, which makes it a safe option for tattoo removal on different parts of the body.
About Laser Tattoo Removal
The reality of laser tattoo removal is that it is a gradual process, not an overnight fix. I always start with a Fitzpatrick skin assessment to determine the right laser settings, which helps us ensure safety and prevent complications like hypopigmentation. During the session, you will see the ink particles shatter, which we often verify with a specific frosting reaction on the skin.
At my Marathahalli clinic, I use Q-switch Nd:YAG laser technology to break down tattoo ink. Unlike salon treatments, this is a medical process. I select specific wavelengths (1064nm for black and blue, 532nm for red) to target the ink while leaving your skin unharmed.
The Procedure We begin with a thorough assessment to check your Fitzpatrick skin type, ensuring we pick safe settings to avoid scarring or pigment loss. Before we start, I apply high-strength Lidocaine cream to keep the area numb and comfortable. During the laser session, you might notice a frosting effect, which is a visual sign that the ink particles are being effectively shattered.
Safety & Recovery Safety is my priority. You are provided with medical-grade goggles to protect your eyes from the laser flash. Post-procedure, I apply Mupirocin antibiotic ointment and cooling packs to soothe the heat sensation.
What to Expect Total removal is rarely instant, as it typically requires 6 or more sessions depending on the age of the tattoo and the type of ink used. Proper aftercare, including avoiding sun exposure and managing scabs correctly, is essential for a clean, scar-free result.
