Qigong & Kung Fu Forms in Delhi

byShi Yan XiangDamo Shaolin Kung Fu School at Shahpur Jat, New DelhiView full gallery

Authentic Shaolin training designed to cultivate energy, stability, and focus through traditional forms.

A student practices the Gongfu Quan form outdoors, connecting her movements with the natural environment. This practice harmonizes the body's energy and builds skill through fluid motion.

Start training today. This student demonstrates a basic Shaolin form, showing the combination of defensive blocks and strikes that are fundamental to our practice.

The mother of skill is the repetition of any basic technique. Here, a student diligently practices a foundational arm movement, building muscle memory and perfecting her form.

I train no matter where I am, no matter the time. This is my own practice on a rooftop at night, a reminder that dedication to the art is a constant, lifelong commitment.

About this collection

Mastering these forms is not about performing for the camera. We spend our sessions refining your stance—specifically the 'Ma Bu' or horse stance—to ensure your foundation is solid. Most students try to rush into complex strikes, but without strong legs and deep breathing, you have no real power. We break down every movement to ensure your Qi flows correctly, and you gain actual stability.

Building the Foundation

Real Kung Fu training begins with the basics. Whether you are learning fundamental Qigong (Ba Duan Jin) or traditional Shaolin forms, the approach remains the same: repetition is the mother of skill. When you train with me in Shahpur Jat, do not expect a gym workout where you simply move around. Expect to be corrected on your posture and breath.

The Internal Practice

My teaching focuses on the internal arts as much as the external ones. We use Qigong to balance energy and build physical resilience. This is why we dedicate time to:

  • Static Stance Training: Holding positions like Ma Bu to develop leg stability and mental fortitude.
  • Breath Coordination: Ensuring your movement is synchronized with your internal intent, not just your muscles.
  • Traditional Forms: Learning sequences that were passed down through the Shaolin lineage, focusing on precision rather than aesthetics.

Practical Application

This is a full system for mind and body wellness. We train on traditional mats in a non-AC environment because discipline requires discomfort. If you are looking for a quick fix or fancy moves, this is not the place. If you are here to learn how to move with intention, how to control your breath under physical stress, and how to build a stronger body, you are welcome. We train hard, we practice consistency, and we trust the process.
