People often ask how I manage 12-hour hold times without using heavy, cakey layers. The secret is not just in the product, but in the skin prep. Before I pick up a brush, I assess your skin texture and the venue's humidity levels to choose the right primer and setting powder combination. Whether you are prepping for a temple wedding or an evening reception, I carry a professional kit designed to handle everything from sweat to oily skin zones, ensuring your base stays uniform and breathable all day long.
My process is built on one core belief: you should look like yourself, just a bit fresher. I do not believe in changing your skin tone or masking who you are.
How I Work
When I arrive at your location, whether it is a hotel, a home, or a temple, I start by setting up my mobile station. I need only a well-lit mirror and a chair. I always listen to your preferences first. If you say, 'CJ, I want to look natural,' that is exactly what I deliver. I do not do cookie-cutter makeup.
The Technical Side
- Skin Prep: I use a CTM (Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing) routine tailored to your skin type. This is non-negotiable.
- HD Techniques: I focus on micro-thin layers of HD foundation to cover blemishes without giving you that white, whitewashed look in photos.
- Long-Wear Locks: To keep your look perfect from the morning Muhurtham until the final reception, I use industrial-strength setting sprays that are sweat-proof and transfer-proof.
My Philosophy
Being a makeup artist is my uyir (life). I am a mom who works hard, and I understand the stress of your big day. That is why I am a bit of a perfectionist.
