Golf Fitness Training with Traditional Indian Equipment

I combine ancient Indian training tools like the Gada and Mugdar with modern golf biomechanics to build a stronger, more grounded swing.

This is how we build a powerful, connected golf swing. My training uses traditional Indian equipment like the Gada to develop rotational strength and balance, which translates directly to more distance and control on the course.

I am so excited to see the results my clients get. This video explains how our unique training method builds real, functional strength for golf, moving beyond isolated gym exercises to create a more centered and powerful rotation.

Here's a look at a golf fitness session in action. I work with golfers to build strength using traditional tools like the Mugdar, focusing on the core movements that generate power and stability in the golf swing.

This is not your typical gym workout. We focus on golf-specific movements, from understanding weight transfer with the Mugdar to improving stability with resistance bands, all done barefoot to enhance your connection to the ground.

The goal is simple: take the strength we build in training and apply it directly to the golf course. My program bridges the gap between the gym and the game, ensuring every exercise has a purpose for your swing.

Fitness is just one part of the equation. I also provide on-course coaching to help you integrate your newfound strength and body awareness into your technique, from driving to bunker play.

It's never too late or too early to improve your game and your health. I am passionate about making golf accessible and enjoyable for everyone, coaching players of all ages to find their best swing.

About this collection

Most gym workouts for golfers rely on isolating muscles, which can actually stiffen your swing over time. Here, we train barefoot on artificial turf at The Ulsoor Dugout. By using traditional Gada and Mugdar flows, we build functional rotational power that mimics the torque you actually need on the golf course, not just in the weight room.

Why Traditional Indian Training for Golf?

I have found that movement is the number one thing, both in the gym and on the course. Modern fitness often forces your body into fixed paths, but golf requires dynamic, free-flowing rotation. My sessions use the Gada (mace) and Mugdar (clubs) to create synergy between your body and the club.

What You Will Experience

We focus on biomechanics that protect your joints while increasing clubhead speed. The sessions cover:

  • Rotational Power: Using Gada drills to replicate your swing plane and improve follow-through.
  • Grounding: Training barefoot on artificial turf to activate foot stabilizers, improving balance during weight transfer.
  • Posterior Chain Strength: Using Samtola workouts to strengthen the glutes and lower back, which are essential for a stable stance.
  • Injury Prevention: Specific flows designed to protect the rotator cuff and lumbar spine.

Who Can Join?

Whether you are a junior golfer starting at 10 or a senior player up to 75, this training works. It does not matter if you are a scratch player or a complete beginner. If you want to move better, feel stronger, and reduce the risk of common golf injuries, you will see the results on the scorecard.

I run these sessions at The Ulsoor Dugout and Tagda Raho Studio in Sivanchetti Gardens, where we maintain a community-focused environment. This is about building a body that is as resilient as it is strong, allowing you to play your best golf ever.
