When we shoot outdoors, we are at the mercy of the light, which is why I prefer to scout locations around Greater Noida before we start. This is not just about finding a pretty background; it is about controlling how the shadows fall on your look and ensuring the environment adds to the shot rather than distracting from the clothes or your posing.
Outdoor shoots offer a dynamic energy that studio settings cannot replicate. My process begins with understanding the specific vibe you need, whether that is a relaxed, casual wear look for social media or a high-end, editorial feel for a brand campaign.
My Outdoor Photography Process
- Scouting: I prioritize locations in Greater Noida and across the Delhi NCR that offer clean, non-distracting backgrounds. We want the focus on the subject, not the clutter.
- Timing: We plan the shoot around the golden hours to get soft, flattering natural light. Midday sun creates harsh shadows that are difficult to correct in post-production, so we work around the sun's position.
- Gear: I stick to my Nikon Z6 with a Nikkor 24-70mm lens. This setup is versatile and sharp, allowing me to react quickly to changing weather or lighting conditions without having to swap gear constantly.
Working with Me
For commercial lookbooks, we focus on consistent lighting and clear angles that highlight fabric texture. For model portfolios, we lean into movement and natural poses. You do not need a massive production team for these sessions. I manage the direction and technical aspects myself, keeping the session efficient so we can focus on getting the right frames quickly.
