Professional Fragrance and Cosmetics Photography
High-quality visuals for perfume and beauty brands, ranging from clean e-commerce catalogue images to moody, conceptual advertising shots.
This is a high-concept shot for a Hugo Boss perfume, designed to be a hero image for an ad campaign. I created a unique, moon-like surface texture in the studio to give the product a rugged and adventurous feel, using dramatic top-down lighting to carve out the details of the bottle and the craters.
Here, I experimented with textures and dramatic lighting to create a moody and artistic product visual. The perfume bottle is partially set in fine white powder, with a single, sharp light source creating deep shadows and highlighting the liquid's amber color. This is a great example of conceptual product photography.
For this perfume shot, I used a ring light to create a bold, graphic frame around the bottle. This technique isolates the product against a pure black background, emphasizing its clean lines and the color of the fragrance. It is ideal for modern digital marketing and social media visuals.
A classic e-commerce product shot with a warm, golden palette. I used a reflective surface to create a clean mirror image, adding a touch of luxury. This style is perfect for online store catalogues and product listings that require a bright, inviting, and high-end look.
This is a clean and fresh take on a standard product shot. The cool blue, soft-focus background gives a sense of freshness, while the sharp focus on the bottle and its reflection maintains a professional, high-quality feel suitable for websites and digital ads.
A minimalist and classic luxury product shot. By placing the bottle on a reflective black surface against a pure black background, all attention is drawn to the product's shape and branding. This low-key lighting technique is effective for creating a sophisticated and premium feel.
About Fragrance & Cosmetics Photography
Perfume bottles are notoriously difficult to photograph due to reflections on glass. My studio approach involves controlled lighting setups and precise angles to ensure the bottle clarity is preserved while avoiding glare, making the product look premium and print-ready.
Whether you are building a catalogue or creating a campaign, the photography must communicate the product's quality. I divide my work into two main categories to serve different business needs.
E-commerce Catalog Photography
For online stores and marketplaces, the priority is accuracy. I use high-key studio lighting with my Nikon Z6 to capture the product against pure white backgrounds. This includes front, side, and detail angles. The post-production process involves deep etching and cleaning up minor imperfections, delivering files that are ready for immediate upload to web stores at 300 DPI.
Hero and Concept Shoots
These are designed for social media feeds and advertising banners. I use low-key lighting, creative props, and textures like water, powder, or stone to add mood. This is where I use techniques like focus stacking to ensure the entire bottle is sharp, and multi-exposure compositing to balance the highlights and shadows on the glass. I focus on creating images that stand out in a scroll.
My Technical Process
- Lighting: I use Godox and Profoto strobes to sculpt the light, specifically managing how it hits the curvature of cosmetic bottles.
- Retouching: My editing includes full retouching, from removing dust specs to color grading, ensuring the final visual matches your brand identity.
- Preparation: I handle the surface cleaning and steaming of products before shooting in my Greater Noida studio to ensure no smudges appear in the high-resolution files.
If you have a specific vision or a complex bottle design, we can discuss the setup required to bring it to life.
