About Mehendi Night: Designs & Dreams
I prefer shooting Mehendi nights with a focus on dramatic, controlled lighting. Instead of flooding the venue with harsh bright lights, I use dark, minimalist backgrounds to make your henna patterns and facial expressions pop, turning a chaotic event into a series of intimate, high-quality portraits.
Your Mehendi night is one of the most colourful chapters of the wedding. It is filled with nervous excitement, family laughter, and the steady focus on the henna application. My goal is to capture this energy without turning it into a forced photoshoot.
How I Approach the Night
I treat the Mehendi as a documentary-style event. You will see me moving around, waiting for those genuine moments: a mother adjusting the bride's floral crown, friends dancing in the background, or the bride looking down at her hands with a shy smile.
The Artistic Touch
I love playing with contrast. By using the darker corners of a venue or specific lighting angles, I create portraits that feel moody and artistic, rather than just snapshot-heavy documentation. This style highlights the depth of the henna and the glow of your bridal attire.
Delivering Your Story
Beyond just the stills, I also create short cinematic reels. These are perfect for your social media, capturing the movement, the music of the dhol, and the overall vibe of the evening. Whether we are in the hills of Shimla or a garden venue elsewhere in Himachal, I make sure the backdrop complements the occasion.
If you have a specific theme or a special request for how you want your Mehendi ceremony captured, tell me about it. I am always open to new ideas that keep things real and fun.
